Sandile Sibiya
Sandile Sibiya is a South African radiopharmacist and currently serves as Head of Radiopharmacy and Responsible Pharmacist at the Nuclear Medicine Research Infrastructure (NuMeRI) in Pretoria, South Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of the Witwatersrand and postgraduate training in Nuclear Medicine and Radiopharmacy from Stellenbosch University. His professional experience spans radiopharmaceutical production, quality assurance, GMP compliance, cyclotron radiopharmacy, and the clinical implementation of novel radiopharmaceuticals. Before joining NuMeRI, he worked at NTP Radioisotopes, where his responsibilities included the production of 99Mo/99mTc-generators, radioiodine products and cold kits, as well as quality assurance and the release of cyclotron-produced fluorine-18 radiopharmaceuticals. His current research interests focus on radiopharmaceutical development and translation, theranostics, emerging therapeutic radionuclides, and targeted radionuclide therapy.
